Computer Virus asks you to "Confirm your Access Code"

Please be aware of a new type of computer virus that changes the ING DIRECT online banking login page when it opens on your computer. It inserts an extra step that asks you to “Confirm your Access Code using your keyboard”, as shown below.

This allows a fraudster to capture your Access Code which may expose your account to fraud.

Note that this computer virus does not impact ING DIRECT's systems, but works by changing the login page on your computer only. The security of ING DIRECT's data has not been compromised.

Please keep in mind that we will only ever ask you to enter your Access Code by “clicking” the on-screen keypad. If you notice this change when logging in to online banking, please do not continue, but call us on 133 464 or +61 2 9028 4077 if overseas (24 hours, 7 days).
