What do I need when I apply to open an account?
- Your full name
- An Australian residential address
- An Australian mobile number
- Your email address
- Date of birth (you must be 18 years of age or over to open an Orange Everyday)
- Your Client Number if you are an existing ING DIRECT client
- Any other details requested by us.
To open your account, it's a Government requirement that we verify your identity to ensure an extra level of security for your money
- If we verify your identity electronically (including both joint applications), we will open your bank account immediately and you will receive your new account number.
- If we can't verify your identity electronically, we will provide you with simple instructions to complete the opening process.
