ING in the community
Through the ING Foundation, ING DIRECT is actively involved in community programs and sponsorships, supporting a range of Australian charities.
The ING Foundation was founded in 1978 and makes financial grants to organisations that deal with an acute need in the community, with a strong focus on children. All employees are encouraged to donate their time and skills through fundraising and taking part in volunteering programs. By combining company and community resources, the ING Foundation can make a difference to the lives of others.
The ING Foundation has partnered with four worthwhile and important charitable organisations in Australia.
The ING Foundation charity partners are:
- The Spastic Centre - who assist children with Cerebral Palsy
- Redkite - who support children and their families battling childhood cancer
- Barnardos - who provide services and support for children who are victims of abuse, neglect and homelessness
- UNICEF Australia - the global children's charity who fight for the rights of children around the world
