My name is Lee and I work as a Sales Manager here at ING DIRECT. I think the major challenge I face is being a good leader and a role model to the people that I work with.
ING DIRECT supported me in becoming a leader through training and having good role models and coaches, so one of my previous managers was quite a good coach for me as a strong leader and I think we kind of grew up together a little bit in our leadership.
Something that ING DIRECT does very well is celebrating success and celebrating achievement, one example that comes to mind is, I got sent to Amsterdam two years ago for a one week all expenses paid training program – who does that? I’ve had roles created for me, specifically for me which I think is awesome.
My greatest achievement would probably be starting up the Direct Mortgage Team four years ago. I’ve seen it grow from a two man shop to a billion dollar business, so yeah that’s definitely my greatest achievement.
When I was a kid I wanted to be a flight attendant – but not now – but I am tall enough.

Once you've mastered frontline sales, you then have the opportunity to progress into a more senior Sales role. Our Business Development Managers enjoy the challenge of driving sales through strong relationship building with our many mortgage brokers and mortgage managers.
